Morten Blix

Mr. Morten Blix co-founded Herkules Private Equity Fund in 2003. Mr. Blix was the responsible partner for the exited companies EFG European Furniture Group, Enoro, Micro-Matic Norge, Bandak, Harding, Handicare, Beerenberg, Noratel, PTC, PSW Group and Scana. Mr. Blix was also on the Gothia investment team.

Mr. Blix has an extensive investment experience from 14 years in the the Financial Investments division at Orkla from 1987 to 2001. Mr. Blix has been involved in a broad range of investment activities including private equity investments. From 1992 to 2001, Mr. Blix was the Portfolio Manager and Deputy Managing Director of the Financial Investments Division of Orkla.  In the year 2000 the value of the portfolio exceeded NOK 20 billion. During the period 1987 to 2001, Orkla’s portfolio significantly outperformed the Oslo Stock Market Indices (the average portfolio return was 15.4% per annum compared to 11.8% on the Oslo Stock Exchange). From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Blix managed his own investment and consultancy business.

Mr. Blix holds a degree in engineering from Norges Tekniske Høyskole (NTH), as well as management degree from the Norwegian School of Management.
