During Herkules’ ownership of 2 years and 11months, Espresso House more than doubled its revenues and EBITDA, opened a total of 80 new shops, and expanded into 2 new countries. The coffee shop chain developed from Sweden’s largest chain to largest Nordic coffee shop chain during Herkules’ ownership. At exit, the company was a strong platform for further growth in both existing and new markets. The investment returned 5.7x the money with an IRR of 78%.
