Strata Møre AS (former Liaaen Teknologi AS) was established in 2001 through a merger of the companies Liaaen Engineering AS and Liaaen Mekaniske AS. The company, which is built on industry traditions since 1861, is based in Aalesund. Strata Møre’s operations comprise of an engineering division with highly qualified engineers and an experienced manufacturing division that perform machining, assembly and test. The company has approximately 60 employees.
The engineering division of Strata Møre is a reputable supplier of technology development for customers within marine, offshore and subsea application areas. Strata Møre’s manufacturing division is a highly regarded supplier of mechanical components to the shipbuilding industry, especially at the Norwegian west coast, in addition, the renewable energy market is one of the priority areas. Strata Møre mainly focuses within the maritime and oil & gas sectors, and has customers that are leading within their fields of operations.
Bandak was established in 1938 and the current head office is in Lunde, Norway. Besides Lunde, the group has subsidiaries in Raufoss, Halden, Notodden and Kongsberg, Norway. Bandak mainly focuses on the sectors oil & gas and renewable energy. The company also has some exposure within automotive, defence, aerospace and basic industry segments. Main activities are engineering, system deliveries, coating and machining, ranging from simple tasks to highly advanced projects.
Herkules Private Equity Fund III is the majority owner of Bandak with 62% of the shares, while minority owners are management and key employees. The new group will have approximately 300 employees.

Completion of the deal is expected following approval by the Norwegian competition authorities.
